Re: CoD4 info from PC weapons files
As much as the Desert Eagle does more damage than the .45's hit for hit I still prefer the usp. While both theoretically have the same rate of fire when I'm using the .50 I always feels as if my first shot is the only one thats actually going to hit something. With the usp you can get more acurate rounds downrange than you could with a deagle in the same amount of time. When I use semi auto weapons I always tend to double-tap my targets and so the power difference is hardly noticeable. Two hits with a .45 will do more damage than one with a .50.
It's funny because this is pretty much the exact same argument I use when I explain why I like the m21 more than the m82.

Recognizing that I volunteered to become a Rifleman, knowing fully the hazard of my job which may lay ahead, I will always endeavor to uphold the honor, prestige and high "Esprit de Corps" of my Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Rifleman is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea or air I must move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself morally straight. I will always shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be.
Gallantly I will show the world that I am a Rifleman and my courtesy to senior ranks, my neatness in dress and care of equipment will set the example for others to follow.
I will meet the enemy with optimism and aggressiveness. I shall defeat him on the battlefield for I am better trained and will fight with all my strength - and then some. Surrender is not in my blood and I shall never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy.
Readily I will display the intestinal fortitude and courage required of the Rifleman to fight on through the objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
