Hey,

Here is a sig ive made for my clan, im going to learn how to put the text on the dog tags cause otherwise it looks fake style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif .

What are you going to put on the dog tags? I would suggest putting the name of the player, and then the clan. BTW, how did they do it in real life?

There are 2 ways of making the writing:

- Emboss--Newer Style (Raised lettering). Adopted by the military in the 1980s. Approximately 50% of all US military bases use Emboss--it depends on what equipment is available at each base.

- Indent--Vintage Style (Sunken lettering). Indent was the only type used during WWII, the Korean War, and The Vietnam War.
On real ww2 dog tags they put:

Last name, First name-Middle Initial

Service number -Year of tetanus shot-Blood type

Next of Kin's name

Next of Kin's address

Next of Kin's City-State- Religion

On my one im putting name, rank and |E.co|, which is clan name.

Im still learning how t make the text on the tags look more authentic. Here is what Ive done so far, I will add the extra details after I learned how to do the text:

The sig was originally a website i made where you click on an item to open a page, but i decided against that and made a sig.

If you want one like that but different layout just say. I made one for a guy and it was an officers desk with paperwork, his name on the paper and an mp40 on the desk. It looked beautiful!

Cyclopse, you are obviously skilled in the media world, nice work, only thing that I can suggest is the lettering on the dog tag can be made more realistic, like gray or something to make it look like its indented into the dogtag.. but great work.

What do you use to make your graphics?

It's very nice, although I would advise not to use so much outer glow for the main text, go for something more original. I'm presuming that you use PS to make those, so to make the dogtag text took more realistic, you could add some inner shadow and some slight inner bevel to the tags. Also, you could play around with the text's overlay settings to make it look more metallic.

Oh and one thing I noticed was that the scale of the bullets compared to the photos and dogtags is a bit off, they look more like arty shells like that style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

But criticism aside, both of the works look great. I also enjoy making sigs and desktop scenes like that in PS, it's great fun style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

I use a combination of Paint Shop Pro, PS CS2 and Paint style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif.

All my trials for those applications expired! I just have paint now, well on my laptop.

I tried my best with the text, it does look a lot better. Im now in the progress of making a website using 'Flash' just like that sig.

Oh and Noobd, the way i got around my trials was whenever I used it, I set the date back on my PCC and disabled the internet while using it lol. It worked for me.
