mouse problems

well, my mouse is having some problems that have been hapening since the day i started using it. it's most noticable when i play CoD. the problem is, my mouse will suddenly, without warning or reason, jump across the screen instantly. it doesn't happen very often, about 2 times in 2-3 hours of play but still. it's pretty annoying and has caused me to die several times. just asking if anybody has any advice or insight into this problem. btw, it's a standard compaq mouse. scroll weel, 2 buttons, black top and weel, grey buttons, translucent bottom peice, wired.

I have had that problem with a normal optical hp mouse. It is really annoying. The thing I would do is to get a new mouse. I can't think of anything else right now.

It can sometimes be cause by a Virus+Spyware, do a scan if nothing comes up then it's either ur driver, ur mouse connection or the mouse itself
