You also forgot Independent. Which I will eventually change my registration for.
BTW, why are you asking. A bunch of people here aren't old enough to vote as it is.
I am a registered Republican, because I want to at least be able to participate in primary votes. When they make a law saying that an independent may vote in primaries, I will change it.
I am however a strong McCain supporter. Not just because he represents Arizona and that is where I live. But I like his ideals as a leader. He is a strong person and wont take ***** from anyone.

I'm english, and too young to vote.
I know exactly who I would vote for in the English elections, but could someone define Republican and Democrate?

Democrat I guess, why ? because if I could hang a banker by his nuts I would...But I like policies of both Rep. & Dem. But I hate big business...But I agree with some of the black & white policies of the Reps. So I guess I'm f***ed there...
Same here in Canada...same dif...Ya can't have your cake and eat it too I guess... ^_^

I've been a conservative all my life. However, I do not like seeing people blindly support anything their party leaders say. You can't lose your opinion on issues through blind faith, I think that's why people call us Americans sheep, and they're right to do so...

Yeh I watch The West Wing and all my friends make fun of me for it, lol. It is interesting and it does explain some of what happens in high-level politics, which is why I watch it. I'm considering running for a county supervisor seat here in the next couple of years...

This poll should be expanded to all political parties, as not everyone is simply a Democrat or Republican, and some people may have certain Democratic beliefs and some Republican beliefs.

The War In Iraq is almost as dumb as the Vietnam War.
Countries should only fight if they are under threat(invaded, or gonna be invaded).
And don't give me that 9/11 invasion BS.

You should read up on the reasons originally given for invading Iraq before making such a pompus statement. Iraq failed to adhere to the ultimatums of the UN for some 10 years. Finally a line was drawn and Saddam crossed it, hence the invasion.

I'm a republican, mainly because I agree with virtually all the views they have. I'm very pro-military, as my family has a long history of being in the armed forces, I support the death penalty, but am against abortion unless in the most extreme of cases such as ****. I support the dismantling of public programs that don't hold up to their set standards, I am a huge supporter of lowering taxes and a smaller government. I like the colder, more harsh reality that goes with being a republican. It prepares people for the real world.

Sound like a right-wing Libertarian like myself. Smaller government would be nice, but not at the cost of a sub-standard military.
