Space over time

Well here goes,
I'v always liked space images that have been made in photoshop and what not, and Iv always wanted to make that. So for months i have been working on serveral different images of space, totaly make a fool of my self, but im going to show you a few of them, so show people how I'm improving in my image skills.

Here the very first image i made of space, just a heap of Lens Flares, :lol:

Here is the second one, where I have tryed to make a planet and put it in, :lol: what an embarresment.

And here is the latest image I have made, the only problem I think it has is it has to much on it, and also, i did not make the planet from scratch, i do not know how to do this, so any help would be great.

So please, give your ratings, and any advice on what should be done etc.

the last one is most definitely the best of the lot. try giving the stars a slight motion blur or something though. oh, and what are those things on the planet?
