I'm surprised this hasn't been posted about yet, But april 29 (I'm pretty sure) Marks the end of Vietnam, when The North finally won and over-took South Vietnam's capital. The U.S. radio Code on that day had been the song White Christmas (To warn of the impending troops) and most U.S. troops had already been pulled out. So instantly, when the Vietnamese troops invaded the Capital, The South-Vietnamese were left to try and flee to the U.S. embassy, which had to literally push back all the fleeing Townsfolk. Discuss this anniversery here.

In the 1950's, the United States began to send troops to Vietnam, during the following 25-year period, the ensuing war would create some of the strongest tensions in US history. Almost 3 million US men and women were sent thousands of miles to fight for what was a questionable cause. In total, it is estimated that over 2,5 million people on both sides were killed.
We sent troops to Vietnam to keep control of the Tensions between the North and The South, The North started receiving AId from communist countries like China and the U.S.S.R. Soon, the North started attacking the South-Vietnamese and Killing the few U.S. occupants. This started a Conflict that escalated into the war.
