Got money from christmas and you wanna get a new video card? Looking for which one is the best peformer? (9800xt of course) or you want the best bang for the buck? I suggest you look here, ignore the fbucks crap that tom's has done which has basiclly showed you that the older stuff is best price where it will not be good for 2004's super duper game line up.

The gloves are off now!! LOL :P
All I can say is that I have not had to download any drivers or fix any settings PERIOD on my TI4600.
And this is through many new games they all worked perfectly not one hitch. I can not say the same about the radeon cards I own though.
But if your the sort who enjoys tweaking and messing around with a video card then ati is the choice as I will admit after new drivers, patches, and settings manipulation my ati cards do work .

Well I've got an old ATI (Mobility) Radeon 7500. Note that it's mobility, slower. It runs every game absolutely fine with resolution upto 1024x768. Though I don't run it on that resolution since it's a laptop and tends to get really really hot, my regular game resolution is 640x480 and 800x600.
My ATI works like a charm for me. No settings tweaked, but if I had to, I have those settings on the other hand if you're stuck with nvidia, you're stuck because it's not customizable as much as ATI is.

LOL well I am lazy so I stick with the old dependable for me anyway less trouble all around.
But I will have to point out the forums in the gaming world have many more posts for help with the ati cards in generall, but then it's like cars some run great while others are in the shop constantly.

I have stuck with the 3.7cats ever since it came out, I had no problems with any game cept for it just being a crappy port and a crappy game *cough*halo*cough* but I've been forced to upgrade to 3.9 or better which I installed the newest 3.10's for the FarCry Beta testing and I still have not yet experienced any problems.

Yup! I agree with bl0ss. My experience tells me not to update any drivers unless problems occur. No problem, no upgrade.

Yep, and in the OC community, we have all said that the 3.7s were the best giving the best benchmark scores, I tried 3.8's but with that new overdrive and vpu recover crap, it just caused more problems, (I disable the vpu recover crap) in the 3.10's repacked by omega. As for these 3.10's they don't bench so great but right now they are the best LOOKing set of drivers for a game. :D
