Hey, if you guys own/your parents own a boat, post the statistics and a picture (if available) here! Hopefully the people here are more immature than some of the people of GTAboards, who went to all lengths, including photoshopping and lying, to pretend they had a really good car in the http://www.gtaboards.com/index.php?showtopic=8221]'post (http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php?[url) your car' thread.

My parents used to have a small sailing yacht that my father made himself, however we sold it and went for a boat that we could take out to the reef - a Stessl Tri-hull with 150hp Mariner outboard, which makes it go pretty fast, despite the tri-hull which creates stability, but drage as well. I forget the length and speed now, so I'll post it later ;)

Ahh... boats..mmmmnnnngghghhh[/HOMER]

I sorta grew up on boats, w000t! Our first boat was a 24' Bayliner cuddy cabin - Volvo Penta I/O drive- that was a ton of fun, but he|| out in the open ocean. After a year, we realized it was way too small for us, so we moved up to a Carver 32' Aft Cabin - twin Mercruiser 350 V8 inboards. That was like moving up from a skateboard to a Learjet. Massive good saltwater fishing fun! We used to take Blues and Tuna out in the Hudson Canyon (about 75 miles out from the bottom of Manhattan) Then I graduated high school and moved up to the Ultimate Yacht:
a 438' http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ship/ff-1052.htm]Knox (http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php?[url) Class Frigate USS Cook FF-1083 - 35,000 hp steam turbine. Heh, you ever go fishing with a .50 cal machine gun? Now THAT'S FUN!! :w00t:

Ours is probably around the same length as your first boat, it is a cuddy cabin too, but we never really go out to the open ocean, we just go out to the nearby reefs and have a snorkel, and fishing, which is great fun! We usually catch Red Emperor (although those are rare), Redthroat Emperor, parrotfish, stuff like that. The trouble is I get seasick
