I was wondering if any1 knows how to change the CMOS (BIOS) battery on a laptop. I've done it on a PC before and it was fairly simple, is it the same for laptops? The laptop that needs a new battery is a dell inspiron 4100. Thanks!

You really need to look at the motherboard to identify where the battery is. It's probably just a standard round, flat battery. It should have a number on it, and that number identifies the battery type. Just replace it with an equivalent one. Walmart is a good place to get batteries (you won't find them at a PC supply place--I've tried that!).
