The problem with that is this: Terrorists like Al Qaeda know no allegiance to any country. They are united under one thing, they're fanaticism and hatred of the west.

What the US is doing is fighting a conventional war - against countries. Terrorists have become the new communists. Except, it doesn't work that way. There is no clear cut enemy, the USSR, left anymore. Therefore a conventional war will be ineffective in bringing these villains to justice.
Especially when Iraq had nothing to do with the whole thing, Osama hated Saddam for allowing Mosques in Baghdad. But that's a whole other debate.

Yes, it is a tough thing to get rid of them. The first thing the US has to do is rid all alliances with treacherous Saudi Arabia. We need to halt their oil funds, and destroy their nests. iraq could have every easily been home to Islamic fundementalists. The ultra fanatic Al-Sadr should have been eliminated from the getgo. We need to liberate the Middle East, and choke off where they can grow. With heightened security in the middle east, the terrorists can be anahialited and homeless. Therefore, it is neccesary to take on "unpopular" wars like Iraq, to attain an end goal of peace.

first, australia has to have good athletes to enter them into the olympics. Statistics are what they are, just statistics. And getting 58 gold is a probability, not a conclusion. if the US still had only 12 athletes that participated in almost all the events, we STILL have the probability of winning gold in them all.
