View Full Version : Do You Have A Job Or A Business?

Just wanted to know who's going to school and who's got a job to do and stuff like that.
For me, I work for FedEx. I'm not the delivery person, I'm a tech support. It's a full time job and all I do is sit on the computer and browse the internet with a box of donuts with me, feets on the table, white shirt with a Tie.... I think it's enough. No I'm not Homer Simpson either. :D

i don't have a job at the moment, and i actually haven't had one since august. hopefully that'll change soon though.
my last job was working for an engineering firm. i designed the website, networked the computers, and did drafting and surveying, but mostly i just sat around and surfed the web. my boss was too slack to keep up with the work, so i just ended up sitting around waiting on him 75% of the time.

I like the sound of that. Why did you quit that job.

i didn't quit. i ended up working myself out of a job :(. i started on the survey crew, learned autocad in a week or two, and started drafting for a while. since i wasn't getting much done, i ended up deciding to network the computers right, and after that i moved to doing the web design and fixing computers. eventually i went from full time to part time, and then nothing ever broke anymore so i didn't have a thing to do. :( i miss having a paycheck.
i really need to find another slack job. is fedex hiring? :D

haha well you should've broken the computers on your own. That's job security.
Yeah right, FedEx is looking for a reason to get rid of me but I'm a leech, not going anywhere. :D

I'm studying psychology at college, so I only have a part time job in Subway. It rawks, seriously, it is the easiest job ever. All I need do is ask customers what sandwich they want and what bread they would like. Then I pass it on to the next guy. It's cool, too, because I get an hour-long lunch break, and I get to surf the Net and eat as many sandwiches as I please. ^_^
When I leave college I'm gonna train to be a psychologist.

I work in the school library with computers for a class. Sort of a "delogic job", nothing to ever do but go on the comp

Indeed.
Wow seems like I am the only on who doesn't sit on their a$$ all day at work ( Not that I am against sitting on your a$$). I work at a restaurant in a ski resort. Kitchen is downstairs and the dining room is up. I am basically a runner. Food goes up. Dishes go down. Gets quite monotonous except for random odd job every now and then. I like it though because its good excercise, I make more $$ than most of my friends, free season ski pa$$, cool people, chill atmosphere, I don't have to deal with customers and I don't have to be in one spot so when theres nothing to do I wander around and talk to various people and eat various things.
I am a junior in high school so its just part time. Its also seasonal so in the spring and fall I am quite poor.
