Hello all,
I've recently launched the official COD Boards Download Center. DC will allow authors to get the best feedback and an opportunity to communicate directly with the user. People looking for these files will be able to easily download the files they are looking for.
If you are a modder or know a person who programs mods for Call Of Duty, do yourself and the COD community a favour and let them know about it.

cool deal.
It is a good idea. I assume this will be open to mods, maps and admin utility tools?

thanks skitz. Yes it will be open to all files related to COD. Only files that it will not contain are files that are copyright protected by Activision, like codSP.exe n stuff. No cracks either.

Great idea deLogic. Just a question though - do you have to register to download those files? Perhaps if you made it so they have to register, it could be a good inscentive to get new users.

Good question. I haven't tested it yet and I haven't chosen guests not to be able to download.

I think your on the right track and this is a great tool and help, but you should leave the downloads open to the public as it is by far a more class act.
I know Batman will have some stuff to put in there and my feelings are you will build up more good will and have a better reputation with free downloads. After all it is really in the spirit of the internet free exchange of information

Thanks billy, the downloads are open for all, I did look into disabling guest download but it's just too much work and modification to the forums.
I'm hoping some developers will start putting their software in, just to give it a push start.

After further thought, I would have to agree with Billy. If people register just to use the downloads, they probably won't post, so it would not be of much use restricting the files to members...
