Can I upgrade ny laptop vedeo card? Someone was telling me if it was intergrated I couldnt though, if there was a daughter card I could??

My laptop is'nt that powerful but here are my specs, it would be nice to get some better graphics out of it!

Toshiba Satellite 1800
Intel Celeron 800mhz( celeron :o )
256 SDRAN
Windows ME
15gig HD
8mb Trident Microsystems Cyber Blade Ai1 (I never heard of it either ;) )

Please help me! lol

That someone told the truth. But even if you can replace it, it will be very very very expensive. I had an IBM NoteBook a while ago, which would cost me about $600 to get me a new GPU. You almost buy a whole pc for the same money.

K man thanks for the information! I dont think I want to spend that much on this system because its not my main system...it would be better to get a new vedeo card for my main PC! lol

Well, try to get a price indication, it may not be so expensive for your lap. But first find out if it is replacable at all.

Pointless, keep that laptop for word processing or internet. If you really want to look into laptops with a option to replace the onboard video, look into Alienware, right now I think they are the only company that has laptops with the option to upgrade your video card.
