I am recieving a problem when i boot the computer here what it say's:


Starting Windows 95....................


Type the name of the command interpreter (e. g., C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM)
A>


Anyone know what's the problem?

Your problem is that your still running Win95 :blink:

Sorry, I dont have a quick fix for you. What was the last thing you did before this started happening?

Man yer really reaching back into ancient history try to boot in safe mode and see whats up I think your missing part of your boot sequence but I dont wanna swear to it I will have to try and find some of my OLD books on 95

Woah! Windows 95 eh? hmmm i think your boot files are either missing or corrupt. Time for an upgrade?

Lol, actually i really don't know what happened, i am fixing this for a friend.

Is there a boot disk available anywhere?

you should be able to make one yourself from another computer, or i think you can download something to extract. try http://bootdisk.com (http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php?http://bootdisk.com)

you're probably going to have to reinstall, but perhaps you can boot with a bootdisk to backup some important files.

I would have to agree G-Unit, it is time for an upgrade. Not just because it is old, because Windows is ceasing to offer support to old versions of it's OS.

Windows stopped offering support for windows 95 and 98 just recently.



I still have a computer with windows 95. Very reliable, too bad it only has a 1 gig hd and 32 megs of ram.

Longhorn ain't gonna cut it on his machine probably, and there are alot of stuff you need to fix to get it to run right. Isn't this warez we talking about man? Should I warn you?
