Let's hear about the Tanks!

Ok, the tanks are gone from hardcore but why? I'll admit, I've been blown up by tanks many times, but mostly cuz I ran out in front of them like a NOOB. I've blown up lots of people with them ,but it's not like you can sneak up on people. I've noticed that the guys I usually kill with the tank aren't paying attention at all to it. I loved the tanks mostly because they are so fun to blow up and now I have access to a bunch of perks that won't do anything for me. Who cares if you got leadfoot if you ain't gotta ride?

Where did you see that the tanks are gone? I played in a hardcore game in 1.4 yesterday and there were tanks.

I play mostly on hardcore servers that have already disabled the tanks anyway. Occasionally I do play on a server with tanks and find that they add to the game if you are playing just for fun and not in a competition.
