So us PC gamers have been given prestige, but do we really want it?
Is there any point?
Yes, you do get 5 extra custom create a class slots but do we need 10?
We survived with 5 in CoD4, so why not survive again....
Would you be willing to throw away all that hard work of levelling up and up, getting all the best weapons and unlocking all the attatchments, all for the sake of a class and a little badge.
On the subject of badges, here's the list:

In my case - No, I wont prestige. With school work (GCSE Year) I really dont have time to keep levelling up so when I do play, I wish to be able to play with any weapon.
So, I ask you, will you be prestiging?
I just saw someone with 10th level prestige and rank 65 (the red and silver star above), i can't believe someone has played all that time already....probably modified the rank file as i'm not sure there's been enough time since release to get to 10th prestige even with playing 24 hours a day.
At least with prestige there's a point to playing and getting ranks, with CoD4 you got to rank 55 in 25 hours then that was it....i might do some prestige levels if i don't lose interest :icon_neutral:

There have been a few reports of this. Sounds a bit dodgy if you ask me.....

I can admit that I cheated my way to rank 65, I wish I could unlock all custom classes too. I have better things to do than play a lot so I could I try all weapons out. I dont really care who does and who doesnt, with the ranks you compete only against yourself not others. I voted no.

I will be doing prestige after I get bored of sitting at 65 and after I have worn out the flamethrower and the carbine. It feels boring if I’m not always working to unlock new things and it’s just fun to start over and own with the lower weapons.
This time we actually get rewarded with more class slots. That was something I found annoying about Cod4, I felt like 5 slots was not enough and I would always have to be changing my classes to fit the gametype and map. Also, I don’t have to worry about losing any of my camos I cared so much about :)

im an xbox gamer and on COD4 i went all the way through prestige, at this point in time i had the xbox with my mates and we were students so had loads of time to kill going through it, but at the end of the day it doesn't make any difference, maybe gives you a bit more of a challenge but to be honest i wont be doing it again with cod5. at the end of the day the badge just goes to prove how much time you have spent playing the game/you have to waste. i'm happy to go to 65 and leave it there but still be sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard!
besides i want to get the flamethrower and keep it! haven;t seen anyone using it online yet though....

I am on my 3rd prestige and will continue, if Rank up severs are out there. Even then I will still continue due to me being so good with the Thompson and the Type 100 and those are the only guns I use as of right now.
I just finished getting to level 65 on my 10th prestige. :)

true gamers, those of us who own PCs exclusively, have no need for some cheap gimmick like "prestige"

What do you mean? I can dominate with or without prestige so what is your point? I can dominate with the Thompson and the Type 100 which are my two favorite guns. Type 100 is what I use though. Free for All is what I play. I must be the exception.

Yeah. You're a reagular warghero. Took me about an hour total on a 4000xp per kill tdm server... Sad realy. This is suposed to be PRESTIGE. The name of what this unlocking of aditional classes is called should have given it away allready. Good job on not limiting server settings or anything at all Tayarch. Good job indeed. Lets just hope that they kill these fast exp servers and reset levels opun 1.2 patch like its rumored to happen.

Prestige is cool. It was a easy way for more thing to do in this game... The important for me isn't what you unlock while lvl'n up, just that you unlock something sometimes when you getting new badges. It's great, make the game fun longer.
Rankup servers are disaster btw. Ruin the whole honor for those who actually ranked up normally to top lvl spending alot of time. With this hack you can do it in hours, not months! (for a normal player I guess)
Yeye, whatever might you think. But isn't those lvls and badges other than unlocking weapon a bit of a competition between the players too? It's sad that this have been ruined...

Well us in the console section dont get the crazy 40000000xp servers lol. So I really dont know if I will prestige. I did it 10 times on COD:4 and for what a Gold Cross? Id much rather preferred a cookie. LOL
