Question about mission: Safe house (possible spoiler)

While this subject may have been raised before, I'm new here, and have looked but haven't come across it yet. I recently played through the whole game, trying to do stuff differently, and when i came to the Safe house level, I decided, instead of clearing all the houses and going into the barn last, to clear out some of the houses, trying to get to the barn as quickly as possible. I got there, and though i was expecting the team to stay behind, or my not being able to get over the fence, it was possible. I cleared out the resistance, and went into the barn (whose door was open wide). Al- Assad wasn't there, so naturally I went back to the one house I'd skipped, close to the bottom of the hill. The team took up positions around the door (all doors were locked), Capt. Price said his usual "Remember, we want him alive", and tried to barge in, and as usual, there was resistance whereupon he barged into the room and took out the guard before starting to punch Al- Assad! Whats more, the end cut-scene with the cell-phone was different, with one more of the SAS troopers included in the scene as Price interrogates Al- Assad, and the layout noticeably different.
Has anyone else had the same experience, or is it something that's so commonplace it doesn't deserve a mention?

I think I went up there once in the first time or two playing the game due to getting lost and avoiding gunfire from one of the buildings but things looked dead so I went back before going to the barn. It's really not surprising Al Assad isn't there though beause the game is very linear requiring you to complete certain objectives before moving on to the next ones.

I tried and tested this theory, and whichever house/building you clear out last (ignoring the objectives on compass), that is the house where you find al asad. The kast house is always locked, ad cpt. price opens it, flashbangs them then deals with them.

Extension on my earlier post. If you clear any buildings/houses before you do the barn, then he is still in the barn when u get there (this excludes the first house you come to on the level). So if i cleared the first house on the level, then the one NE of it, then went to the barn, al asad would be in the barn as normal.

Another extension. It only works on the house to the left of the first house you come to.

i.e. i clear out the first house on the level, then go straight to the barn, which is clear. i then go back to the house directly left (ish) of the first house (only directly leftish if you r facing the way you are at the beginning). This house has all the door closed, and your team do the clearence drill.

It does not work on any buildings other than the barn and the above mentioned. (I think!!!)
