There was this really old movie, french production I think, about a boy and a father jews captured in a nazi camp. The father made the boy believe this was all a game, and that if he would et enough points, he would win. Was really intriguing, not really mass violence or anything, simply touching. Later in the movie, when the allied forces attacked the base, the father gets killed for protecting the son, whilst searching for the mother, and, well, this would make sense of you watched it.

I rented that robot movie out all the time when I lived in London. It was like my favorite movie!
I just remembered another sad movie I've watched... It was about this boy in school, and he is given an asignment to make the world a better place. He thinks up and idea that if he does a good deed to three people, and each of them do 3 more good deeds, the world will be a better place ect. He's walking home from school, I think, and he sees a kid getting beat up, so he tries to stop the fight. The people stab him and he dies, then at the end of the movie people from all over the world have been effected by the 3 good deeds thing, and they all come to his funeral.

A.I Artificial Intelligence was a really sad movie. Its about some people who created a robot that takes place in the future that can be filled with love. A father bought it for his wife because their son was in a hospital. things have been going dumb from that robot after the wife put her love in that robot. then she trashed him in a forest. then he does whatever it takes to become a real boy so the woman would love him, he went to the first thing he remembered, a blue fairy and asked her to become a real boy, staring at the structure (blue fairy) for over 2000 years. then some aliens found him after all those years and then told him that the woman was dead because it was 2000 yrs ago, they told him they could make her alive for 1 day because of errors happening after that only if he had a bit of her. he took of his pockets some hair he cut off 2000 years ago when he lived with his owners. so they were able to let her come back for 1 day. the robot and the woman enjoyed their day, without the robot saying what happened, the day passed and then when it was time to sleep, she slept forever with that robot near her..forever and ever she wound not move or get up.
thats it, really sad story, sadder when you see it tho.

Agreed, Speed was a good flick but not because of Keanu Reeves. The only movie where I thought he was expressing his real forte was Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure. Watch any other movie he acts in and you wonder WTF or who the he|| would pay him but then my wife says that he's a " hunk a doodle do " but agrees that his acting sucks. So what the he|| do I know . Kevin Costner is pretty bad too.

j/k
I've seen my lot of sad and depressing movies. I dont really care for them but I'll have to go with, the "Inner Circle". Very dark movie
It takes place in moscow during ww2 and is about this guy who becomes camera man for stalin, and plays stalin's videos and things like that. In the end all of the main charecters except for the camera man end up dying (Including The Boss himself  ).

It was so funny at the end of the matrix revolutions, when Neo and Trinity were in that ship thing, and trinity was dying. And neo was supposed to be crying, but he didnt have any eyes. The top part of his face was burned and scarred so bad that He didnt even have anything to cry with. But he was still making those facial expressions that people make when they cry.

also there is The Pianoist wich is about a jew during the hulicost who was sent to a getto were he wittnessed 12 year old buys falling over dead, nazis pushing around a 70 pound 80 year old man, then a group of nazis that go into a house and push a old man out the top of a 6 story building who was in a wheel chair because he couldnt stand up. Then his entire family was sent to the consintration camps but he escaped and staid in a apartment secretly then went to the old bombed out gettos to hide where he befrended a german officer because he playd the piano for him towards the end of the war and the officer gave him his coat, then the soviets found him and set him free from the village and protected him...so he returnd to his radio place and playd the piano again...then later found out that the nazi that spared his life and helped him was killed in a Russian POW camp in 1954. Mine was The last Samurai. The last battle when they use those crank-operated gattling guns and mowed down all the Samuraies and their horses. Then stopped to let the two last(one of them Tom Cruise) enjoy one last moment of honnor, now that was the best storyline ever.
And let's not forget Hero...
