I'm new to Xbox 360... well, online that is. I've had my Xbox for over a year and a half, but just started playing onine recently. Anyhoo, I have my voice settings to headset only, however, when I do not have my headset plugged into my controller I hear the voices of other players coming through my stereo system.
This only happens on COD4.. anyone else experience this?

Yea I'm not sure why it happens but for some reason this game is intent on making sure you hear your teammates lol. It also does this in halo for me somethimes and even gears of war.

Its doesnt have anything to do with the game its just a quencidence that they only time it happens to you is when your playing cod 4, just pull the mic out and plug it back in, and if that doesnt work just play with it alittle bit and you should get it to work again.

"they" being Micro$oft? or the makers of the game? Either way, more often than not the 'chatter' amongst the team is really stuff I could give a **** about. every now and then I'll get on a team that communicates, but usually it's teens talking about boners, stuff in the game that is gay, or beating off.

I can't stand having chat on for this exact reason. No one talks strategy it's just BS. Usually very annoying high pitched (12 year old) BS. All it does is distract me. I either private chat with a clan member or turn my voice setting to zero.
