yeah, i suppose you could say that. i was sitting around at 4am last night (this morning, rather), and instead of doing the project due today i decided i'd play around a bit with photoshop. i feel like i've been run over by a mack truck, but i'm proud of what i came up with :D

@ carli: i like that one too... the sig, at least. the color dodge works nicely with the background image, i think, and gives it a strange sort of feel.

most of my image sites i use are links shared with me by recluse. try http://www.justinsweet.com (http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php?http://www.justinsweet.com) and some links from there. that should get you started, if you like fantasy art :) most of my other stuff comes from googling.

read the writing in the top left. the way i feel about my country is far closer to contempt than to pride ;). i figured i'd end up explaining this somewhere, but basically what i was trying to say is this: no matter how many men are buried and how much blood is spilt, what good does it do? we can protect our country from invaders, but not from corruption, greed, and other forms of moral and social decay. trust me, it wasn't meant to be patriotic, despite the flag and such.

a reason for considering the navy? in a word, money. i'm still flat broke, and unless a decent job turns up, i'll probably end up in the navy's nuclear engineering program. when i first got out of high school, i talked to the recruiters, took the asvab, etc. and they were pretty anxious to get me in there. i found a job though, and ended up not joining.
