You already had a CoD4 previously right?
Did you just change the key code or did you install CoD4 on your PC?

The majority of the problems fall into one of three categories:
- You didn't get the CoD4 game new from the store. You either "borrowed" the game from a friend, downloaded it, or bought it used. You get this error because someone else is using the key code.
- You let a friend borrow the game or installed it on another PC and it is being used.
- There is a problem with the setup - either that the firewall has not been setup properly or PB is not updated.

Was it still wrapped up? If not, someone is probably using the CD Key.

OK -
* First verify that you have the correct key code in the MP menu.
* Verify that you have allowed CoD4 (iw3), PB A, and PB B through your firewall.

Can someone assist with the exact way to do this? He needs to know how to allow PB B through the firewall? I'm not on my game computer at the moment so I don't know the exact steps.
At a high level (and assuming you are using the Windows Firewall on XP)
- Go to the control panel
- Open Windows Firewall
- Select the Exceptions Tab
- Click on Add Program
- Add Punkbuster B to the exceptions (should be in the same place as Punkbuster A)
- After doing this, try it again.

The make of the firewall would help.
