This may be more a question rather than a suggestion. I've noticed that off-site links using these BB codes: ... results in the link having http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php? placed on the front of it, so that all requests to the site are redirected through the CoD Boards site. Do you do that for tracking purposes? If so, why? If that's not being used for anything in particular, I'd like to see it removed because if I bookmark the site it contains the redirect too. Plus wouldn't that eventually cause excessive traffic on the CoD Boards site?

Originally it was being done to rate the links that a member is posting and also for tracking, primarily for rating. Any links going out of CODBoards and partner sites do have to go through the gateway but it's pretty easy to remove the frame by clicking on "Close this frame"

I can say that it will remain as it's a standard on all Central Gamers Network forums and it is a good tool for rating the sites. For example in the portal, the affiliate links are rated by users who visit them.

Hope that answers the question.
