definitely sounds like spyware. you also might try some other spyware scanners, sometimes it takes more than one program to find everything. i hear spybot is good. also, you could check what's running on your computer at startup (start->run->msconfig, and then find the startup tab) and look it up on sysinfo.org.

Try repairing your IE from add and remove programs, if anything damaged the IE files, that should fix it.

Ok heres one thing to remember anyone that ever gets something like this.

Be sure got look around that page that redirects you on how to uninstall it.

I personally went to that website to search for help and on the bottom it says "if problem click here" or whatever, it leads to a page to manually uninstall this browser hijack. DO NOT USE THE AUTO UNINSTALLER. It might install other stuff while it uninstalls this stuff. Follow the instructions and remove those files. The link to the instructions is below.

http://www.smart-finder.biz/uninstall.htm (http://www.codboards.com/redirect.php?http://www.smart-finder.biz/uninstall.htm)

Also if you EVER get something like this, google "redirects to (insert that URL here) to find if someone else has encoutered the same problem. As for this problem it has.
