I've been out of online units for about six months now, but am looking to start up my own. This unit would probably start as a COD2 unit, but will transition into a COD4 unit.
I used to be the C.O. of a 50 member unit and a platoon leader in another unit. With this experience and other experience in online units for almost 10 years, I've decided to take that knowledge and start a new one.
Since I've seen that having members from all over the world has its problems because of the extreme difference in time zones, there is also the issue of everyone not having a manageable ping. That being said, this unit will only be made up of members from North America. Also, I've been kicking around what unit it would be modeled after. Since the 1st Special Service Force, "The Devil's Brigade", was made up of Canadian and American soldiers, that is the unit I've chosen. There will also be a minimum age requirement of 16, no exceptions.
We will be looking for leaders, tacticians and people with computer related technical skills. This unit will also be a realism unit with ranks and responsibilites. There will be no "run and gun" or "nade spamming". Not everyone will be accepted, so don't be disappointed if you don't pass muster. There are plenty of other units out there that suit every kind of player.
