Did anyone happen to catch "Japanese Weapons of WWII" on the History Channel this evening? It was very informative, and if you missed it and are big into weapons, check your listings for a re-run. I think it was well worth the hour.
The one gun I liked was the light machine gun they designed that looked like a Bren, but had a folding bayonet :P

i think theres a heavy machine gun called the T-99..............or something like that

Yeah, I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.
Oh, and there was a pistol the Japanese made that "voluntarily" fired -- there were reports of it going off while holstered and wounding Japanese officers in the hip/groin/thigh. Because officers were to buy their own sidearms, many bought European sidearms.
I would too -- I wouldn't want my own pistol going off whenever it wants.

i saw that and i found out that the arisaka rifle was actually a very durable gun in the battlefield.the pistol was called the nambu. :thumbsup:
