Hey guys, I'm starting year 11 today, after 8 weeks of holidays :

I was just posting to say that since I am starting my senior years, I probably won't be nearly as active as I was during the holidays. I will be probably be able to visit the forum daily, but I won't be posting as much.

Hey, what subjects are you doing? I'm doing Physics, Chemestry, English, Economics, Maths B (The standard maths required for university), Maths C (The hardest maths subject, an extension of maths B), Life skills (Compulsory) and Religion (Compulsory)

Anyway, the first day of my senior years was pretty good, except for the fact that it was absolutely steaming hot, and the long socks that senior boys have to wear didn't help :( . At the end of the day, for some reason, it just clouded over and started pelting with rain, which was good, because the teachers didn't let us bring any books home in case they got wet when we walked home, so I don't have any homework  (I took home my Physics textbook anyway though because I was interested in reading up on what we were doing)

Im doing Maths A (Advanced maths, Don't think i will do any good because I was in Intermediate every other year), Chemestry (I like is, but I think ill not do any good because It is the hardest out of all subjects). Im also doing the lowest 2 unit english (for uni) and Im also doing, Computer hardware, Computer Programing, and a VET Computer stubject :D

Hmm... we have a different maths system. Maths A is the easiest maths subject over here, maths B is required for university, and Maths C is the hardest maths. If you want to do maths C, you have to do maths B as well.

Heh... we don't have all those computer subjects at my school

What are you planning to do in university? I am thinking of a double-degree using any combination of science, business and law, at Queensland University or better. I'm not sure what I will do after that though.

At uni? I don't know :) Im only doing to at the monent to keep my option open.
If i where to do to uni, At the moment I would do computer programing or Computer graphic, Or I might go to ADFA  Im not sure thats all :D . I have thought about law, but im not that smart. :D

Its not really called maths A, Advanced maths is called Mathematics. Intermidiate is called Standard Maths, Not sure what the lower one it.
Your sound sorta like our, If we want to do unit 3 maths we have to do Advanced maths also.

Yeah, the maths courses just have different names. Just wondering, do you guys use the 'OP ranking system' for the end of year 12 ranks, or do you do something else?

The OP? not sure what that is :).

I had my first day back today. It was really boring. I only had two clases, and because it is wednesday we had free periods at the end of the day. And I didn't leave with everyone else, Instead I stayed at school for 3 hours doing nothing. It was a very bad mistake.
