To those who watched the movie and have knowledge about this raid. It was one of the largest and successful raids ever in U.S Military History. Please share your comments, ideas, suggestions, in here. BTW, the actor who plays Captain Pajota is one of the best well known actors in the Philipinnes. But I didn't like the ending of the movies, and it would have been better to see General MacArthur in the movie. But nonetheless, it was an awesome movie, fun to watch, WAY better than Saving Private Ryan.

BTW, my gradmpa was one of those Filipino Guerillas, but he was a teen then. He didn't like talking about it, since a lot of his family friends sacrificed their lives for that conflict...by kicking some Japanese arse. Mua ha ha! :icon_biggrin:

Guess what? I just watched that movie like 2 minutes ago.

Actually i watched it 2 weeks ago on the movie network.....but i watched it again :)

Hey i'm Phillipino too :D But my grandpa was a teacher, so they didnt want him to fight >_>

I think saving private ryan was a better movie, because most of the great raid was boring........

Wow. Cool. Nice to meet you! :icon_biggrin: Yeah, Private Ryan was full of violence and stuff like that, and Great Raid wasn't...but it was still a great movie. Great Raid was slow paced and focused on saving rather than killing.

Coincidence that you watch that movie recently and happens to be Filipino...:icon_razz:

Yeah. You must see it. It's a great movie, not really violent nor bloody, the only bloody part was the ending, nothing more than a gunshot to the chest and that sort of thing. No gore, no body parts flying apart or stuff like that, and there isn't a single "f" word in the movie, I believe. You'll like it, Alpha. :icon_razz:

I don't like Saving private ryan because it was bloody gorey, and people dieing over the place......but it was just a more interesting story. The great raid was kinda slow paced, but it wasn't a bad movie.

i like SPR better than TGR. TGR IMO doesnt have all that much action, which is what i want in a war movie

Well damn Steven Speilberg. He's too old to be making movies. Saving Private Ryan sucked, especially the ending. SUCKED. Band of Brothers was better. But The Great Raid owns all of them. It focuses more on saving...rather than fighting...which is a diplomatic solution for all war idiots....

lol. My 9 mm? Don't own any guns...at least not yet....I'm gonna get myself the Sig Sauer Black Water Pistol P22(was it 9 or 6) lol, I forgot.

I heard in Russia you're not allowed to own guns unless you're military or police, or something like that, I was watching this show called: Worlds Wildest Police Chases.
