View Full Version : Ever consider that these forums are too big?

Great job on these boards, but seriously, this board is too big for it's own good. Attempting to browse all the various categories is far too time consuming, and often you wonder where any particular topic is. Take this as constructive criticism, but these boards have way too many topics. Several of these categories could be combined into a single "General discussion". Take it from an old school forom wh*re--K.I.S.S. Otherwise, you risk turing folks away.

Well, yaeh, I agree on the "too much categories thing", it`s quite hard to find your post in all of that heap of topics, makes you go  sometimes.

It may be a bit difficult for a new person to look for threads that are offtopic. Though support threads, and all others in the gaming forums (which are not offtopic) are fine.
I'm a bit confused though, I had it all combined and people started asking for seperate forums for various offtopic threads. So I made them several forums, now this? I mean I am glad you are giving me feedback but not everything can make everyone happy.
Perhaps you could further explain or suggest how to make it better?

I really don't mind it how it is at the moment. I can actually browse the forum in 15 minutes if I want to :D
Anyway, even if it is big, you have to consider that we have alot of members, and are getting even more by the day. Limiting all the discussion in a single forum would just create masses of threads. The categories allow you to define what you want to read to a greater extend than a single thread.
For example, you could have a single Call of Duty section, for all discussion. Or, you could have it how it is now, and if you only want to discuss multiplayer, for example, you would go to that section.
Yes, I know that was a bunch of probably incoherent rambling, but do you get what I'm saying? :D

Thanks PK. Like I said, you just need to get a little familiar with it, as with any other bigger sites.

I think that the forums are doing great. There are a lot of categories but then there have to be to cover all of the interests and to be specific.
I have no problem navigating around and I think that this forum is pretty well organized.
As it keeps growing it will by neccesity change and re-arrange it is becoming a sort of entity unto itself :o
