There comes a time when a decision needs to be challenged. This is not done because one feels they know better; this is done when one sees the potential for failure that lies down the road.
That time has come.
Activision has decided that they will not support the PC platform in the upcoming release of Call of Duty 3. Why then, when the PC market is the largest market of FPS games, is Activision alienating their largest install base? Console games are fine, but they don't go a very long way (when compared to their PC counterpart) in achieving the numbers required to make a game a financial success.
This lack of support for the PC market in this next installation in the series is a troubling one, and could result in the death of numerous COD2 clans, or could result in these clans changing to different games to keep their members interested.
As such, we (the 80th Infantry Division) have created a petition that you can read and sign online at http://www.80thinfantry-division.com/petition/
If you are a Call of Duty enthusiast, clan leader, clan member, or just your average user, we would appreciate your support in convincing Activision that a PC version of Call of Duty 3 just makes sense.
I thank you for your time, and in advance, for your support.
(I wasn't sure where to put this, so it seems that this is the best place. If an admin wants to move this topic, by all means, go for it.)
