Funny, all the quotes from Lenin and Stalin I've ever read always describe the brutal and totalitarian tactics they themselves had used... it's as if they are attacking the average Soviet citizen who admired them.
Anyway, I thought these were very good quotes, posted earlier.

He wrote in the book [color=red]Tunder Run: "Slago's crew had killed quite a few Iraqis down south, and it disturbed him that after a while killing people had become almost routine. He had talked to his crew about it, and he had decided to rationalize his feelings by dehumanizing the enemy. He did not think of the Iraqis there on the roadway as people but as obstacles. They were in his way; in fact, they were trying to kill him He was not interested in dying for his country. He wanted them to die for their country. He wanted them out of the way.

William Shakespeare's Henry V; Act IV, Scene 3:
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.

"Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Forces: You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.
Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.
But this is the year 1944! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! The free men of the world are marching together to Victory!
I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory!
Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking."
-General Dwight D Eisenhower

I think I thought this up but I forgot:
"When a child, you are oblivious to what people think about you, when your a teenager you care too much of what people think about you, as an adult you couldn't care less what people think about you, but as you age, you figure out people were never thinking about you."

"Nuts"
- Brig. General Anthony C. McAuliffe
Acting commander of the 101st Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge in World War 1. He was in charge of the defense of Bastogne on December 22nd 1944 when the garrison was called on by advancing German forces to surrender. His initial response was 'Aw, Nuts!' When he came to compile a written reply he could think of nothing more appropriate: 'To the German Commander: NUTS! The American Commander.' Bastogne was successfully held by the Americans and Anthony C. McAuliffe became immortalized for a single word.

"Man is the only animal that deals in that
atrocity of atrocities. War. He is the only
one that gathers his brethren about him
and goes forth in cold blood and calm
pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the
only animal that for sordid wages will
march out.. and help to slaughter
strangers of his own species who have
done him no harm and with whom he
has no quarrel... and in the intervals
between campaigns he washes the
blood off his hands and works for
'The Universal Brotherhood of Man'
with his mouth."
