I posted a request in the MOD section looking for help on how to specify an add-on .iwd file for downloading when your server is logged onto???

I can't find any info on where and how to specify an .iwd file for downloading prior to playing!!!???

your post is missleading to me.

but i will give it a go on what I think you are saying.

you want people to DL a mod before they get into your server. if this is the case your server must be set to pure or it really will not matter you also have the DL turned on so that they can DL the file.

if you are making a mod then see people for help I am not good in the mod makeing DPT.

Firstly to be safe, you should copy the .iwd file that you wish to edit to another directory for back up.

The .iwd files are just zip files that have a different extention so you should just treat them the same, but obviously if you are compiling a mod for distribution, you need to mirror the directory of the files that you have changed, zip it up then rename the extention (.zip) to (.iwd). Make sure the mod is then in the "main" folder of your call of duty 2 root.

All's you need to do is to extract the file(s) that you are editing/replacing, for instance to you desktop, then do you editing on the file(s). When done, you can either do what i described above or replace it in the original .iwd files, just a matter of drag and drop!
