HELP ME!!!! How to change port nr in consol??? COD4

I cant get my port nr to change! Me and my friend play on the same router so we have the same ip, but we need to change the port nr so that we can play the same server together. What to do?!?!?!? :icon_neutral:

1.

Ok first go to C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\(Your profile name)\ and there you will find a file called config_mp.cfg

2.

Open the file config_mp.cfg with Wordpad not notepad! And then add this line in the text; seta net_port "28960"
Then save file.
And for every othere computer change the nr by 1
Like pc 1 is 28960, pc 2 is 28961, pc 3 is 28962, and so on and so on.(only if there are more then 2 computers)

3.

Go to -Start- then -Control Panel- and go to -Windows Firewall-press the -Exceptions- tab then -Add Port- add the port nr you wrote early(28960)
Remember to add it 2 times once as a -TCP- and once as a -UDP-. It dosent matter what name you give it (I called my ports -cod4 port 1- and the second one -cod4 port 2-)

You must make a profile in single player mode, and start the game and save once while playing single player .
Then you should have the folder.
Key code in use?! sorry dude maby you need a new key code or something. Ok.

Thank You so Much Dude, I got a couple extra keys thinking that would fix the kick problem but it didnt

I remember that RTCW Enemy Territory used to have a place when I configured My server to allow more than 1 player to connect from the same Ip address, I guess COD is different cause I dont see that option:icon_wink:
